ANT Fest

Reimagining ANT Fest: Turning Performers Into a Marketing Engine
What: ANT Fest is Ars Nova’s annual All New Talent Festival, presenting emerging artists in a packed month of daily performances each June. While well known within the theater community, the festival had an opportunity to extend its reach beyond industry audiences.
Goal: Expand visibility and attendance by building a scalable promotional system that could support dozens of artists while increasing engagement across a broader audience.
Notable: Studio Usher developed a visually distinctive campaign and, more critically, a toolkit that enabled each performer to promote their work using a shared visual system. This shifted ANT Fest from a centralized marketing effort to a distributed model driven by its participants. The approach led to sold-out performances and a 10X growth in Ars Nova’s social following. Now a widely adopted strategy, this model was, at the time, an innovative shift in how festivals build audience reach.
