What: UsherWorks.org is Studio Usher’s design grant for local retail. We award up to 2 grants a year to independent store owners based in the five boroughs of NYC. And it’s Free!
Goal: To help our local shops stay in business at a time when a combination of high rents, an infusion of big-box stores, a pandemic, and a consumer base that finds it easier to shop online has created a landslide of small business closures. Studio Usher partners with these retailers to design a refreshed visual identity that speaks to their customer. Deliverables include creative assets such as a logo and mock-ups for packaging and signage.
Notable: Our campaign selling t-shirts to promote and raise funds for the grant went viral on LinkedIn.
